The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a man who reportedly jumped overboard from the Bahamas Celebration cruise ship early Sunday while the vessel was 27 miles off short in the Atlantic.
The Coast Guard identified the man as 30 year-old James Miller of Charleston, South Carolina and said they were notified by the Celebration cruise line at approximately 2 a.m. Sunday.
“There were witnesses,” Celebration spokesman Glenn Ryerson said Sunday night, via the Sun Sentinel. “We did our search on the water, in the approximate area where he went overboard.”
