There are two things to say about Donald Trump’s “woman’s card” snipe at Hillary Clinton and both of them have been said impeccably by Senator Elizabeth Warren.
“Donald Trump clearly feels threatened by Secretary Clinton’s qualifications to be president, so he’s attacking Hillary Clinton for being a woman,” said Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat.
She then followed that statement with a question. Is Donald Trump sexist?
“That’s like asking if he has bad hair,” said Senator Warren. “He wears the sexism out front for everyone to see.”
Senator Warren has summed up the state of play in America’s socially-advancing politics while taking aim at Trump who both the senator and Clinton feel old white men’s fear of strong women.
Warren defended Clinton by pointing out that whether you like her or you don’t, you know that is former secretary of state, is more qualified to be president of the United States than almost anyone who has run for office in half-a-century.
According to Warren, you don’t go to law school, fight the legal case for socially-progressive causes, become a two-term senator and secretary of state (all the whole raising a well-adjusted, loving child), without having enormous ability.
She closed out her rant with “Man or woman, Hillary Clinton is an exceptionally qualified candidate.”
