A smoking engine has forced Allegiant Airlines Flight 864 to return to St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airport shortly after takeoff Monday afternoon.
No one was injured and all passengers have been taken off the plane.
The jet was on its way to Hagerstown Maryland when the incident happened aboard the Mc Donnell Douglas MD-82 twin engine jet.
