A judge will rule in coming weeks on the fate of a 4 year old Labrador Retriever mix who bit a child on the ear at a Bradenton veterinary office.
More than 100 supporters of Padi showed up at the courthouse where the judge heard both sides.
Some witnesses say Padi was the aggressive one; some say the child went under a desk to force Padi out, and she felt threatened.
The judge won’t necessarily rule on which account he believes.
He is being asked by Padi’s owners to declare unconstitutional a Florida law requiring euthanasia for any pet who bites a human badly enough to require stitches or reconstructive surgery.
