Fern Creek High School in Louisville, Kentucky is on lockdown after shots were reported at the school.
One male student is hospitalized with non life threatening injuries, according to WLKY.
Police responded around 1 p.m. and officers were seen in flak jackets.
Parents arriving on scene are being sent to Fern Creek Park, which is near the school. According to a student who texted his mother, the shooter is attempting to blend in with the students being escorted out of the school.
Given that news, they are all being escorted to a baseball diamond with their hands up.
The parent and victim have been reunited at the hospital, according to Jefferson County Public Schools spokesperson Ben Jackey.
The Louisville media is awaiting a police briefing.
