Recall On Undercooked Chicken In National Steak and Poultry Products Expanded
A recalled chicken product has become a concern in other products. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) became aware that the recalled products were used as ingredients in other products before National Steak and Poultry identified their chicken products may have been undercooked.
The Agency is urging anyone that purchased and secondary products using the recalled chicken products to not consume them.
Ajinomoto Windsor, Inc., Aryzta LLC, Nation Pizza Products Limited and Southwest Products LLC were among those that used or incorporated the recalled chicken products produced by National Steak and Poultry. These corporations didn’t know that the recalled chicken may have been undercooked at the time it was added as an ingredient to their product.
A list of the brands and products subject to this Public Health Alert are, per abc action news:
- Ajinomoto brand “Yakitori Chicken with Japanese-Style Fried Rice”
- Archer Farms brand pizza products containing chicken
- Ferratto’s brand chicken pizza product
- Best Choice brand chicken pizza product
- Nuevo Grille brand chicken quesadilla product
- Schwan’s brand chicken quesadilla product
The products included in this Public Health Alert bear these establishment numbers inside the USDA mark of inspection:
- P-18356
- P-2539B
- P-1682A
- P-17417

The products were shipped to warehouses, distributors, and retailers Nationwide.
So far there have been no confirmed reports of reactions due to the consumption of these products. If anyone consumes any of these products and are concerned about an illness they are urged to contact a health care provider.
FSIS highly advises these products be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
There is no word yet on whether National Steak and Poultry will be offering money back to anyone that purchased these products.
