Physicians at a Dallas hospital isolated a patient who showed possible signs of an Ebola infection and had recently traveled to a region where the disease has been detected. The diagnosis was confirmed Tuesday afternoon, the first such diagnosis in the United States.
Hospital officials held a press conference where they gave details regarding the patient, including that he was at first released, then returned when his symptoms got worse. And the city of Dallas announced other precautionary measures, including those known in contact with the patient being quarantined. Jim has the latest.
