The Associated Press reported this morning that the parents of six central Florida children have been arrested after police discovered them living in squalid conditions.
The family was reportedly found squatting in a house with no electricity or running water and that was filled with roaches and animal feces. The two arrested were thirty-five-year-old DaQuan Smith and 32-year-old Eboni Tucker-Smith.
The grandmonther, 50-year-old Delthy Graham, was also taken into custody.
Police were originally called to the house after Duke Engery cut off power to the house after thousands of dollars in unpaid bills, and the children have been turned over to another family member.
The three family members have been bonded out of jail.
