Orlando Pastor Accused Of Raping Young Girl
Orange County deputies have arrested a local youth pastor for sexual battery on a child and are now on the look out for more victims.
Rev. Samuel Pierre, 35, with Tabernacle of Prayer and Miracles International church on South Rio Grande Avenue, is also facing kidnapping charges.
Pierre appeared in front of a judge as allegations were brought before him and remained silent with his head dead.
According to deputies, three months ago Pierre picked up a young girl, who is under the age of 12, in a church van for what he was said a group gathering. The arrest report said he was supposed to pick up several other kids as well.
The girls mother noticed her daughter had been “acting different” since she went with Pierre and confronted.
Deputies said the girl told her mother that Pierre never picked up any other children and instead drove her to one of Pierre’s aunt’s house. The girl said she fell asleep on the couch and when she woke she asked for a cup of water. She told investigators after she drank the water she became lethargic and doesn’t remember much of what happened, suggesting she may have been drugged.
She told deputies she did remember Pierre taking her to a back bedroom, lifting her dress and raping her. She was then told to change into different clothing afterwards.
Pierre threatened the girl not to say a word about it.
According to court records, Pierre was charged in 2009 with three counts of lewd or lascivious battery, but the case was never prosecuted. Pierre is now being held in Orange County Jail without bond. Records don’t indicate whether Pierre has hired a lawyer or not.
Deputies are asking anyone who may have information related to this case to please contact the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
