RAIFORD, Fla. (AP) — A Florida inmate was back in custody hours after stealing a Department of Corrections van and escaping from prison.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office tweeted late Friday that 33-year-old Thor Harold Bahrman had been apprehended in Jacksonville. The van also was recovered.
Bahrman had escaped from a Florida State Prison facility in Raiford on Friday afternoon.
According to a statement from the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office, Bahrman “left undetected” and did not harm any corrections employees during his escape. Authorities said Bahrman was a “minimum custody inmate.”
Records show Bahrman had been serving a two-year sentence on drug charges.
