Manhattan Palms Condominium 7210 N Manhattan Ave, Tampa
A fire started early this morning in building 2 that has left 8 families without homes. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is on scene and has extinguished the flames. Tampa Fire Rescue provides mutual aid to alarms in this area and assisted with extra manpower. TECO has turned the power off in the adjacent buildings, 32 additional apartments are affected by the
evacuation and power loss. Hillsborough’s Office of Emergency Management is on scene and coordinating with apartment management and Red Cross to assist the displaced families.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue’s investigator is on scene.
