Gulfport Police on Tuesday arrested a man accused of two counts of retail theft and resisting arrest without violence.
Gary Antonio Hall, 31, was the suspect in a series of retail thefts that occurred at the Family Dollar located at 5015 Gulfport Boulevard South over the past few months.
A Gulfport officer saw Hall in the area of 15Th Ave S and 49th Street S and recognized him as the possible suspect in the series of retail thefts that were caught on surveillance video. While officers were attempting to ID Hall, he fled into St Petersburg. Officers chased him on foot and he was apprehended just blocks
away.
Further investigations are ongoing and additional retail theft charges could be applied.
