“Girls Gone Wild” founder Joe Francis was arrested on misdemeanor assault charges and spent Friday night in jail. He was released early Saturday morning on $20,000 bail, according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department website.
The 41-year-old was taken into custody for an altercation that reportedly took place at the Girls Gone Wild offices.
Police are investigating whether Francis was in violation of a restraining order when he entered the building.
This isn’t the first time Francis has run into legal trouble, either, as he has been involved in a number of legal battles, including a case in which three women accused him of assault and false imprisonment.
