FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — A school bus crash has hurt an adult and one child in Florida.
The News-Press reports a 34-year-old Fort Myers motorist was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries after the collision Monday morning. A 13-year-old boy suffered a minor injury and was released to one of his parents.
According to Florida Highway Patrol the boy was one of two children on the bus including an 11-year-old girl.
Iona-McGregor fire department spokeswoman Lauri McMahon says the accident involved one car.
The Lee County school bus was struck while turning left with a green arrow as a 2003 Honda Accord driven by Guemps Codio ran a red light into the intersection.
Codio was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital.
