Floridians Feeling Better About Their Pocketbooks

Floridians have apparently decided that their personal financial situation is a little better than they thought.

The latest consumer confidence survey from the University of Florida shows an uptick after two straight months of decline. The survey says June consumer confidence in Florida is 96.4, which is just over two points higher than May.

What’s more, the increase in perceived financial well-being is across the board in all demographics—age, gender, race, socio-economic stratum, etc. And the survey seems to show optimism not just about current financial conditions, but future well-being too.

The index ranges between 2, which is total hopelessness, to 150, which is financial bliss.
