Florida parents are rushing to stores to take advantage of this year’s back to school sales tax holiday.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, many clothes, school supplies, and computers are sales tax free.
But there are limits. School supplies must be $15 or less per item. Clothing must be $60 or less per item, and computers must be $750 or less per unit.
The sales tax holiday will save Florida shoppers $33 million. The state’s sales tax is 6 percent.
Internet orders are included in the sales tax holiday within the same restrictions. Go to www.floridarevenue.com for details about Florida’s 2017 back to school sales tax holiday.
