East Lake Fire Rescue responded to East Lake High School Monday afternoon for a patient injured in the school auditorium.
The patient was on a catwalk about 75 feet above the stage unable to get down on his own. The Pinellas County Technical Rescue Team was requested and assisted East Lake personnel in lowering the patient to the ground using specialized equipment.
The patient was transported to St. Joseph’s hospital with what appeared to be non life threatening injuries. The entire rescue operation took an hour and twenty five minutes.
