The man accused of fleeing after hitting and killing two Chicago tourists on the Clearwater Memorial Causeway two weeks ago is out of jail.
45 year old Charles Winzenread posted the $100 thousand bond set by a judge just eight hours earlier.
Winzenread is charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving death.
Police say he hit 51 year old Viola Flores and 62 year old John Berg as they walked on the bridge.
They say they have witnesses who saw Winzenread getting into his Mercedes SUV at a Clearwater Beach restaurant minutes before the wreck, they have several surveillance cameras putting the vehicle at the scene, and they have a car part from the scene that matches Winzenread’s vehicle.
