Cloud Computing Pulls Off Upset To Win The Preakness

It was a question of whether Always Dreaming could hold off Classic Empire to win the second leg of the Triple Crown. But in a turn of events Cloud Computing pulled off the upset to win the Preakness.

Always Dreaming and Classic Empire set the pace of the race pulling ahead at the start of the race while Cloud Computing settled in perfectly behind them.

Ridden by Javier Castellano, the 13-1 long shot horse ran 1 3/16 miles in 1:55.98. As Classic Empire took the lead turning the stretch for home the Preakness winner came after him on the outside to beat him at the wire.

Trainer Chad Brown won his first Preakness in great style as Todd Pletcher’s Always Dreaming faded to an eighth-place finish (unofficial).

When asked about a Belmont run Brown said that his team would celebrate this win before looking at what’s next.
