It has been an issue before and with the new website that seeks to change, slightly, the Canadian national anthem, it’s becoming an issue again. It’s just one line of the anthem and only a few words, mind you. Why? Let’s see if we can find out.
Most Canadians know which line needs the alteration but here it is for any who don’t: “In all thy sons command.” Do you get what the problem is? Anybody? You there sitting in that modern chair. Why would we change that line and what might we change it to?
“Me? Okay. Right. Well it should be changed because it’s not entirely inclusive. Is it? Not really. Not at all, actually. It’s not inclusive in the least.”
