Although she’s been in long-term psychiatric treatment under a conservatorship it hasn’t stopped her previous legal issues from progressing.
Scheduled to appear in court Tuesday regarding her DUI arrest in West Hollywood, Calif., in April 2012, the 27-year-old actress’ lawyer, Rich Hutton, indicated she was mentally unfit to stand trial, reports TMZ.
He said she couldn’t appear for lack of the mental capacity to “understand the nature of the legal proceedings.”
ReThe case was transferred to mental health court and is now in the hands of a judge who will conduct a hearing to determine the former child star’s mental competency.
