According to WFTV, investigators say two gunmen entered the home just before 4 Friday morning and demanded money. The men opened fire on the four people on the room but the woman was able to escape through the rear window before being shot. When Deputies arrived on the scene, two out of the three people that remained in the house were shot. The third person was unharmed.
The two injured men were immediately transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center and are listed as serious condition.
The home was located off Burnway Drive near Sand Lake Road and the Clubhouse Estates in the Dr. Phillips neighborhood. WFTV reports that the Orange County Sheriff’s office states they believe the home was targeted.
The investigation is still underway. Names of the victims have not been released and there have been no suspects reported. According to authorities, the woman that escaped from the home is cooperating with police in the investigation.
