A 23-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning when the vehicle he was driving flipped on the interstate.
Kyle Gasperone, of Brandon, was headed north on I-275 near the Dale Mabry exit in a 1994 Chevy at about 2:30 a.m. when he tried to negotiate a slight right turn in the road, a Florida Highway Patrol report states.
Gasperone lost control of the vehicle, which spun off the road and clipped a crash barrier with its rear, sending it into a roll.
Gasperone, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle, the report states. He was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The report did not say whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
