Beer Company Is Recalling Beer In Florida
Well it’s a sad day for those who love Sierra Nevada beer. The company recently announced a recall due to a limited flaw from their factory. The recall will affect a lot of states including Florida.
The company said that an inspection “detected a very limited number of bottles with a flaw that may cause a small piece of glass to break off and possibly fall into the bottle, creating a risk for injury.”
Some of the brands the company named include Pale Ale, Beer Camp Golden IPA, Sidecar Orange Pale Ale, Torpedo Extra IPA, Tropical Torpedo, Nooner, Hop Hunter and Otra Vez. The Pale Ale brand is considered Sierra Nevada’s flagship brand.
“While we believe this concern impacts roughly 1 in every 10,000 (0.01%) of our bottles packaged during this time,” says Mike Bennett, Chief Supply Chain Officer, “Sierra Nevada has set the standard for quality in the craft brewing industry since 1980 and we have decided to take this precaution to ensure the safety of our consumers. To date, we have not received any consumer reports of injuries resulting from the potentially affected bottles and we are working with our supplier to determine the root cause of the issue.”
The company has said that anyone who has purchased their product during that time period will be eligible for a full refund. The company has also set up a site for more information regarding the recall and the exact process one would have to go through to get their refund. They are asking all consumers to not drink the beer, potentially affected, at this time in order to prevent any harm from being done. Sierra Nevada also said that no other products were affected at this time.
