General Kelly marks his first day as White House Chief of Staff by getting rid of Scaramucci
At the request of new White House Chief of Staff Gen. John Kelly, the new communications director Anthony Scaramucci, was asked to resign and President Donald Trump accepted his resignation. It was a bold move on the first day that Kelly was on the job in the “West Wing.”
The announcement of his resignation was first reported by both The Washington Post and The New York Times. News Talk Florida has confirmed the story of the ousting of Scaramucci, as White House Communications Director.
Scaramucci’s time in the White House lasted just 10 days but they have been very eventful. Since coming on board, the White House has faced the resignations of press secretary Sean Spicer and Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.
A day prior to Priebus’ announced departure last week, Scaramucci made headlines for delivering a scathing, profanity-laced critique of the chief of staff to a reporter with The New Yorker.
A replacement has yet to be named.
