CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) — A replica gun at a South Florida school led to police in tactical gear swarming the campus.
The Sun Sentinel (https://goo.gl/BycivI ) reports that Coral Springs officers responded Thursday to J.P. Taravella High School.
Students spent about two hours barricaded in classrooms as police searched for a reported gunman. Police say the fake gun belonged to a freshman boy, who was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of disrupting the school day.
No injuries were reported.
