When the two United States representing Florida agree on something it must be important. Well, when it comes to how the Trump admiration’s “Zero Tolerance,” policy on immigration is playing out so harshly Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson and his Republican counterpart Marco Rubio think things have been allowed to go way too far.

The senior Senator from Florida was right to point out that it’s not a “law” as Trump officials contend and is part of the administration’s “zero tolerance” approach to the border security.

So, President Donald Trump says it is a law the Democrats enacted. It is not and should he wish to stop the policy he could at any moment he wished.

Nelson has pounded the admiration for their inhuman handling of the immigration policy on the U.S. southern border.

Your decision to separate children from their parents at the border is cruel, unnecessary, ineffective, and goes against our values as Americans,” Nelson and other lawmakers wrote in a letter to President Trump. “There is no legitimate reason why these children need to be separated from their parents. … We ask that your Administration rescind this unethical, ineffective, and inhumane policy and instead prioritize approaches that align with our humanitarian American values.”

Meanwhile, Rubio has not yet directly criticised the Trump Administration, he has made his voice of opposition heard in Washington as a guest recently on the CBS Sunday morning news program Face the Nation.

“Well ultimately when somebody– a couple of things need to happen. Number one is we have a problem and it needs to be dealt with. The ideal scenario is that families be kept together and returned expeditiously back to their country of origin. We sympathize with people that are coming here. America is the most generous country in the world and ideally you wouldn’t put people through additional trauma once they came into the United States.”

Both men are hoping to see the policy changed either by the Admiration or by Congress.
