The best way to understand the Mueller report is to read it.
By now unless you have lived under a rock you know that Friday Special Counsel Robert Mueller issued a 37- page indictment that 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities for allegedly meddled in the 2016 presidential election, charging them with conspiracy to defraud the United States. The indictment reads like a spy novel.
Mueller’s document gives an incredibly detailed report on how of how the Russian government sought to interfere in the 2016 election, meddling with voters to sow division in American society, and encouraging the election of Donald Trump in what the defendants referred to as “information warfare against the United States of America.

Florida lawmakers are quick to point out that the first prong of the Mueller investigation vindicates President Donald Trump in the area of obstruction and or collusion with the Russians during his 2016 campaign. At this point yes there was no direct link from Russia’s attempt to tilt our election in the direction of a candidate that Putin wanted to see in the White House.
But Trump is not off the hook. Far from it. His oft-repeated argument, contradicting US and British intelligence agencies, that stories of covert Russian meddling were “fake news” has been exposed as false. The US, like other western countries, is incontrovertibly under sustained assault from the Kremlin.
Trump has yet to detail what he or his administration plan to do to punish Russia for meddling in the 2016 election. Special counsel Mueller, in a thorough indictment, released Friday, detailed how hundreds of Russian operatives — including a close associate to Russian President Vladimir Putin — interfered in the election by organizing political events and used social media to tout Trump and criticize Hillary Clinton.
So this is really chapter one of the Mueller novel and for now there is no direct connection to the White House. But there is far more information to come and we will see President Trump remains clean of any wrongdoing.
