POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Two couples who were neighbors in a Florida community have died from injuries sustained when their car was broadsided.
Broward Sheriff’s spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion tells news outlets that 78-year-old Joan Tucker and 82-year-old Sheila Hauser died at the scene of the Nov. 28 crash. On Thursday, 85-year-old Leon Hauser died at a hospital and the 93-year-old driver David Koenig died Friday.
Concepcion says their Acura was broadsided by a Mercedes-Benz in Pompano Beach, which is north of Fort Lauderdale.
Murat Oral, the 49-year-old driver of the Mercedes, was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Her 9-year-old passenger was treated and released.
