U2 frontman Bono traded his Irish brogue for a southern drawl Tuesday, unleashing an uncanny impersonation of former president Bill Clinton.
The rock vocalist was on stage as part of a panel at the Clinton Global Initiative conference in New York when he walked over and sat down in the absent Clinton’s seat.
Dropping into a gravelly, unmistakably Clinton-esque voice, Bono drew laughs from the crowd by telling the story of when the two first met, from Clinton’s perspective.
Shortly after, a smiling Clinton returned and took the microphone from Bono.
“I must be really easy to make fun of,” Clinton joked.
