Today, the FSU homecoming announced via Twitter current Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson, and former SNL writer John Mulaney will be the comedians featured during FSU’s Pow Wow. Kenan Thompson is known for his previous work on Nickelodeon’s All That and Kenan and Kel. Mulaney previously worked on SNL as a writer and has an upcoming show this fall on Fox called Mulaney. In addition, the homecoming includes their Warchant event, the annual FSU concert, which will headline Big Sean. According FSU News, both events are free for FSU students with a valid FSU ID. Seats for the general public will be available via ticketmaster or through the Civic Center box office. Many students are showing their excitement via social media.

The Pow Wow has been a tradition at FSU since 1948, according to FSU’s Homecoming website. In the Pow Wow’s first few years, it originally began with the Football game and the parade. Due to the rising popularity, the weekend eventually expanded into the headline comedians and artists. Previous acts include, Jimmy Fallon, Nick Offerman, The weekend is sponsored the FSU’s Student Government Association.
