Tracy Morgan still hospitalized after accident
Comedian Tracy Morgan is in critical but responsive condition Monday morning after being involved in a serious car accident over the weekend, an accident that killed one and critically injured others. It happened at approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday on the New Jersey Turnpike.
Authorities said 35-year-old Kevin Roper failed to slow for traffic ahead and his big rig smashed into the back of Morgan’s chauffeured Mercedes limo bus, killing comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNair.
Roper was charged with death by auto and four counts of assault by auto. Morgan sustained a broken leg, a broken femur, broken ribs and a broken nose. He is expected to remain in the hospital for several weeks.
