Take-Two Interactive Software have announced that “Grand Theft Auto V” has scored the highest first day retail sales of any title in the history of the company, and the popular “Grand Theft Auto” series.
Launched yesterday on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the game achieved first day sell-through of more than $800 million U.S. dollars worldwide, and that’s not including upcoming launches in Japan and Brazil.
Though prices differ from country to country, that title indicates around 12-13 million copies of the game were sold in the first 24 hours.
