La La Land Ties Record In Oscar Nominations 2017
On Tuesday morning the 2017 Oscar Nominations were announced in Hollywood. Topping the psi top nominations was “La La Land.”
The musical landed a record-tying 14 Academy Awards nominations, which matched it with “Titanic” and “All About Eve.”
Starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, the film has earned approval for best picture, its songs and its 32-year-old writer-director Damien Chazelle.
While “La La Land” may have stole headlines, it certainly didn’t steal all of the spotlight. Other films such as “Hidden Figures,” “Fences,” and “Moonlight” also received multiple nominations in this year’s Academy of Motion Pictures more diverse find of nominees.
“Moonlight” and “Arrival” tied for second most nominees with eight each.
